Chris Olson: Cover Songs
"Supersonic" acoustic cover by Chris Olson. This was one of the first songs we ever played in The Codes, and it is still a go-to for me when playing acoustic covers.
Very few artists have influenced my music like Noel Gallagher has and this is my tribute to his greatness.
"Shut Up and Dance" acoustic cover by Chris Olson. An absolutely gem of a song to play. The original by Walk the Moon always gets the party started and I just had to learn it. My two daughters love the song as well, so I wanted them to hear their daddy's version (they still prefer the original, lol).
"Hold My Girl" acoustic cover by Chris Olson. A really sweet song from George Ezra and one I found myself returning to a lot when looking for acoustic covers to play in pubs and clubs.
"High and Dry" acoustic cover by Chris Olson. I love playing Radiohead songs, even if they are such poor renditions of beloved tracks. High and Dry is a harder song to sing, so I kick it down an octave but still so much fun.
"Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" acoustic cover by Chris Olson. Green Day had a MASSIVE influence on my early days as a guitarist and I still play their songs to this day. This is an absolute must for any guitar player and I apologise for nothing in terms of my vocals and playing ability.
